Winnebago Pet Expo is a fund-raising event hosted by Friends of Winnebago County Dog Parks (FWCDP). The purpose of the Winnebago Pet Expo is to bring the community together and support all of our pets. Pets come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. Education in responsible pet ownership in accordance with local laws and ordinances will help us continue to work together in our communities. Being responsible also means taking care of those pets. You will find seminars, demonstrations, and booths on how to care for, exercise, feed, enjoy and help your pet have a healthy and happy life.
The mission of FWDCP is to educate the community on responsible pet ownership. The Expo provides an outlet for pet owners to all come together and share. Another reason for the expo is to achieve the vision of creating another dog park in the northern part of Winnebago County. FWCDPs and Winnebago County have been working together on multiple things. Those things are water, shelter, the big tree coming down, new trees being plants, the swamp issue, and pond, to name a few.
Proceeds from the Winnebago Pet Expo go towards lending support to the maintenance and improvement of Best Friends Dog Park Winnebago County Community Park, in Oshkosh and the establishment of additional off-leash parks in northern Winnebago County, Wisconsin.
In 2022 we opened the Jerry Finch Winnebago County Dog Park due to support from organizations like yours!
